Thanks for your reply.  Even though most of my experience on data
warehouse has been Oracle and DB2 under MVS, I too agree the iSeries is
vastly underestimated with regards to using it for a DW platform.    In
my previous lives, ANY Windoz platform was a HUGE under performer and
would never be considered especially because our warehouses were
multi-terabytes in size.  Oracle under some flavor of UNIX was the
environment of choice but that's probably because the powers that be
never saw the iSeries/AS/400 as a viable candidate.    Having seen
multiple platform worlds in my career, the iSeries is underestimated and
unfairly maligned for DW purposes.    In my opinion, the fault due to
the attitudes and actions of both IBM and the iSeries community as a
whole.   

So far, I have only received your response to my RFI on this subject. 
I hope there are more.  I'd like to talk to you and others about your
iSeries DW implementation.  I'll send a private email if you like.
