As a quick note - the HMC does not necessarily have to be local to the
i5 system.  For stability of connection and security, it's a good idea,
but it's not required.  

An HMC can manage a remote system provided the FSP is configured with an
on-network IP rather than a crossover cable-connection with a
non-routable IP.
