New version of JVM for V5R3M0?

In an article in eServer Magazine, "AIX Applications with the Help of i5/OS 
PASE", it mentions that the i5/OS PASE runtime is used to run a new version of 
the JVM for i5/OS. 

Does anybody know anything about this? Can't find anything in announcements 
about a new version of the JVM. There is discussion of version 1.5 becoming 
available but don't know if that is "new version". Have e-mailed author but 
never heard anything back. Curious if they fixes some of the problems with Java 
on AS/400.
