There are may different types of *MGTCOL objects used by different
functions for different purposes.
*MGTCOLs in QMGTC2 are likely secondary objects used by Management Central
reporting and monitoring functions.
*MGTCOLs used by Collection Services are usually in QMPGDATA or QPFRDATA.
Unless, of course, you've changed default configuration.
You can tell the difference by checking object attribute. Collection
Services objects have *PFR attribute.

RE: Collect Performance Data

*MGTCOL's get damaged a lot and have a tendency to blow up library saves,
like GO SAVE - 21. I've had IBM working on this for months to not much
success. It's gotten to the point that when we do a full system save we
- bring the system to a dedicated state.
- CRTSAVF FILE(QTEMP/DAMNMGTCOL)
- SAVOBJ OBJ(*ALL) LIB(QMGTC2) DEV(*SAVF) OBJTYPE(*MGTCOL)
SAVF(QTEMP/DAMNMGTCOL)
- Delete any that say they are damaged.

I'm not saying not to use them. Just be prepared for "issues".
