We have purchased a 3581 Tape Library (SCSI attached) to replace our
existing LTO drive. It will hold 6 tapes.

We currently use a home grown CLP to do our daily backup. It covers
everything that would be done by a go save 23, but allows us to schedule it.
We schedule evertyhing on a single threaded jobq that is released by a
separate timer job.

Our problem is how to inlcude this new drive in our backup scheme. If we
fill it with tapes, how do we tell it to roll-over in the event of too much
data ? We do not have BRMS, I am expected to do this with my own CLP's as
before.

Any RTM's helpful. Been trying to find iSeries info for hours now. Not much
out there. We are on a Model 810 currently with 175 g of storage. Planning
on adding a side car with 4 more drives this weekend (I think they are 75
gig each ?)

Luckily, I don't have to do the hardware, just figure out how to backup all
this storage to the new tape.

TIA
