But I do have a where clause.  The original:

UPDATE IMIMSG
  SET IMIMSG.IMACRC = (SELECT DMITMMST.ACREC
                       FROM DMITMMST
                       WHERE DMITMMST.ITNBR = IMIMSG.IMITEM
                       )

Why is that where not a where? <g>  I think I still don't get it.
