Dear Group,We are currently investigating the replacement of our paper POD (Proof of Delivery) with data capture terminals. The idea is that each driver will have a terminal that can scan a barcode and that can capture a signature. The driver will also be able to input some remarks for each delivery.
The capture data (delivery status, remarks and signature) will then be used to update the data on the 400. This might be done real-time or when the driver returns to the warehouse.
Since we are only investigating possible solutions at this stage, I would very much appreciate if any of you could share your experiences in terms of hardware used, OS for the terminal and development tool, remote updates in real-time, etc.
