Sorry missed the NOT in your original post.  It does need to be NOT EXISTS.

Note: it's EXISTS with an S on the end.  That's why you're getting there error. 
 I always forget the stupid 'S' ;-)

Here's the corrected statement:
delete                                   
from podtl A                             
where not exists ( select 1              
                  from pohdr B           
                  where A.vndnr = B.vndnr
                    and A.weekx = B.weekx
                    and A.digit = B.digit
                 )
