Scott...I don't recall if the first 2 bytes are Signed or Unsigned ...
but something like this....

DCL      &Count *UINT  

CHGVAR VAR(&COUNT) VALUE(%SST(&PARM1 1 2))

I think that works ... But have not tried it....  but... it's only
replacing %bin with %sst anyway... I suppose it's a nit in this case...
