Yes.
When you recreated the file and started journaling again, all references to 
prior journal entries are gone.
The entries are still there, but can not be accesed using the file name in the 
DSPJRN command.
You can see them using the DSPJRN command by Date/Time range or journal number 
range.

3. Deleted the physical file
4. Recreated the physical file without and DB changes

6. Started journalling (STRJRNPF) the phsical file again using the same
Journal Receiver

Here's my question. When I look at the journal entries, there is no prior
data. There are only journal entries from the time after the file was
recreated.

Any thoughts?
