as400 and Telnet Disconnects

Was going thru some archived postings re this subject regarding telnet
disconnects happening for no apparent reason. One of my clients is going
thru the same problem on a 170 box at V4R3M0. Was there ever a definitive
answer or solution found? The odd thing about this problem is that my office
computer, located in another city, will stay connected all day, yet others,
in the same city and not, could die after 5 minutes or 2 hours. Another
client with the same box and same OS has never had the problem - maybe
because all their telnet sessions are from within their own building and
behind their firewall. Both machines are at the same PTF level. I've tried
playing with the telnet settings - they are the same on both systems - and
the system values - they are also the same - but the problem remains.
