I might be wrong but I believe IBM retained a interest in
Lexmark even after the sale/whateveryoucallit.
They just did some magic accounting and pooof, no more
Lexmark. They have never stopped using Lexmark and continue
to this day.

That entire nonsense has always remained a mystery to
me and many others. Lexmark continues to plug along
and make money without moving to China...
