Can you ping your relay server? This will check that you have the proper
routes setup and any IP restrictions between systems correct.

I am currently experiencing an issue when trying to route emails to an
internet user.

The issue that seems to be occurring is that the mails are not getting off
the system.

As all mail within our group is routed through a dedicated server I have
performed the following investigations on the system: -

1) Ensured that all IP address assigned to the iSeries partition are
allowed to route mail through the relay server.
2) I have restarted both MSF and SMTP multiple times on the partition.
3) I have tried to route mail through another relay server and also through
the primary partition on the box(Primary partition is sending mail)
4) I have confirmed that the SMTP configuration on the partition is
identical to the primary partition.
5) I have ensured that the PTF level of our application software is at the
latest level.
6) I have spoken with our Domino team (who manage the relay server) to
track some test mails. These mails were not received by the Domino relay
server.
7) Checked the MSF and SMTP joblogs for errors. No errors in either logs.

We have experienced issues similar to this in the past, but these were
usually resolved by ensuring that all IP addresses assigned to the
partition we allowed to route mail through the relay server.

Our platform is: - IBM iSeries 870 V5R2 with multiple partitions all
running V5R2.

>From initial investigating we cannot see any indicators that could point to
a problem or to a further course of investigation.

I would appreciate if anyone could suggest a further course of
investigation that I could follow to resolve this issue.
