In that case, can I just tell it to use that drive OR stick another one in
there (I have some from a 620) ?

You should get a hardware SRC if any harddisk failed.

You might check the serial#s of the disks currently installed in the 
system.  If none match your error, it's possible that the original load 
source was removed.
