Hello,

I'm troubleshooting a problem with the way some AFP form overlays are
printing on our iSeries attached IPDS 1145 printers. After bringing the
overlay over to the iSeries via the IBM AFP 600 print driver, CPYFRMPCD and
CRTOVL, what is happening is that certain forms have trouble with text that
is inside boxes. It seems that the box is ending up printing overtop of
the text inside it (also I can see some forms where a box shadow prints in
front of the box rather than behind it).

We got a brand new AFP driver from IBM just last week and it fixed a font
mapping issue that we had originally, but now we are seeing the 'box order'
issue.

I can print the form directly from the Windows machine to the printer and
everything is fine. It is only after sending the overlay via the driver
that i'm having the trouble. If I view the output via Operations
Navigator, I can see where the box is already overshadowing the text
(before going to the printer). It seems to me that AFP driver is somehow
sending the box components over to the iSeries in the wrong order (?).
I've played around with just about every setting in the AFP 600 driver, but
haven't had any luck.

I'm hoping that someone on the list may have dealt with this in the past...
Thanks!
