What a pain. I'm not looking forward to this when we have to do it.

You could always enter the command (WRKJOBSCDE), and press the Help key,
then F20 and F14 to print the command help text, which would be very
similar to what the manual shows.

hey all,

Our SarBox consultants are trying desparately to get me to document
everything I do (what a royal pain - it's bad enough having to do all
this, it's worse trying to discuss iseries/os400 concepts with a kid
not long out of school, who has no clue of these concepts), and for a
lot of what they're asking me, I've just been pointing to various IBM
manuals.

Does anyone know if there's a separate section/chapter/pdf for the
OS/400 job scheduler - the one that utilizes the ***JOBSCDE commands?

I've found this pdf, which I though was it, but after looking through
it, determined it's not what I'm looking for:

http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/iseries/v5r3/ic2924/info/rzaks/sc415324.pdf

I found this page which discusses the different job schedule options:

http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/iseries/v5r3/ic2924/index.htm?info/rzaks/rzaksschedulejobs.htm

it lists "management central scheduler", "Advanced Job Scheduler" and
"OS/400 scheduler". The third option shows the pdf I mentioned
before.

Does that mean that all I have left are the command descriptions from
the command books?

Thanks,

Rick
