Sorry, did not mean to link the 2 things. I can see that if grouping happened 
in parallel that order would not be guaranteed. It seems in my experience with 
non-parallel that grouping does sort - it has to sort things in order to get 
things in groups, but parallelism could involve segmentation, hence differing 
orders
