And if you have the unix team from he!! that cannot get the quote site... 
stuff working then you could use an ftp exit point for log on that changes 
their default naming format from lib/file to directory.

Instead of a put to LIBRARY/FILE, have your Unix folks do this:

quote site na 1 (puts it into namefmt 1 mode)
put unixfile /somedir/somefile (now it's a stream file in the IFS!)
