We have an initiative to explore options to encrypt our data going to our
back up tapes on our iSeries platforms.   By this I mean, the data on the
tape will be fully encrypted, so if the tape was lost and got into the
wrong hands, the data could not be displayed or restored from the tape to
another iSeries without a security key.

Is anyone else on the list doing this ?

Does IBM have a native process to achieve this using native Save/Restore
commands ?
