So the fact that the foreign keys and primary keys are not known to the
database itself, only to the individual data stores, is a matter of
implementation? I see...so if I have a file with a primary key, that
fact isn't known to other files. Of course, it is known to the OS. And
if I have a file that has a foreign key from some other file, if it's
set up with referential integrity it's relational, and if not it's not?
