Jack, just a couple of things.

the 2780's require V5R3.  I believe that you could use the 2757's if you
must stay at V5R2.  They are about the same card.

And the other thing is that the RAID striping will be "updated", the
2780/2757's have a different way of striping the disk.

It will happen automagicially or you can stop raid, swap the card and
restart raid.
a little dangerous as your system is unprotected, but of course you will
have a couple of backups ready if needed.
