Well...we all know that RPG stands for "Ryan Programs Great", but that's
a different thread...

I've coded in RPG for 20+ years and it's by far my favorite language. I
think a big problem, ourtside the iSeries space and regretably inside
also, is that when people think of RPG, they think of 14 indicators
conditioning a MOVE operation. We on this list know that that's not
true, but way too many people don't realize that one can do anything in
RPG that they can do in any other language.

I know slews of RPG programmers that don't use extended Factor 2 for
crying out loud, much less free format, ILE, functions, WDSC, etc.

I'm happy to say that RPG does everything I need it to do in terms of
business data processing.
