The commas should make the modem pause long enough for the pager company to 
answer.

Don't know how you'd handle this from the 400, seems like you might need to 
write your own comm program as I doubt the 400 will understand that while you 
are telling it to dial a number, you don't actually expect to get any kind of a 
connection.

My recommendations:

- ditch the numeric pager

and/or

- get Byteware's Messenger Plus or Robot
