Some informal testing:

Data library totaling 3.27GB

using
SAVLIB DTACPR(*YES): 18 min (795.27MB on DVD)

SAVLIB DTACPR(*NO) : 105 min (3.27GB on DVD)

vs.

SAVLIB DEV(*SAVF) DTACPR(*YES) : 2.5 min
SAVSAVFDTA : 49 min (2.14 GB on DVD)

Note that when writing to DVD-RAM (and to a *SAVF) DTACPR(*DEV), doesn't use
compression. You must specify DTACPR(*YES).

Interesting that the compression ratio when writing to the save file is so much
worse than the compression ratio when writing to the DVD-RAM. I would have
expected it to be the same. Anybody know why this is not the case?

Hope others find this helpful,
