This is a power supply fault however it is likely not the power supply itself that is at fault in this case. It is pointing at the power supply on the processor side (Left side from the front if it's double wide).

First check the input power, make sure there are TWO power cords connected if the unit is 'double wide'. If they are, see if the thing is plugged into a surge suppressing power strip and if so, remove that item (known to cause problems in some cases). If that fails, then you're going to be unplugging things from the power supply to determine what is pulling it down.

Despite calling out the left side supply, the book says to pull the power cables P6 from the drive cage in the expansion (right) side and try power on again,. If it comes up, then it's likely a disk unit so try reconnecting those cords and removing the drives. If it still fails, the FAN is the next call out.

Let us know of your progress....!

Oh and remember not to pull ANY cables while the system is powered on. You can safely run the thing for several minutes with the sides off.

All:

I have just purchased a used AS400 Model 9406-170. I have it plugged in and powered. I
have attached a "dumb" terminal via twinax cable. When I hit the white power
button on the front panel the machine starts up and then about 5/10 seconds later I get
the orange attention light and error code 10112564. If anyone can help me with this error
code, I would be greatly appreciative!

Thanks to all in advance!
Steve.
