We have replaced an old twinax printer configured as a 5225 with a new
networked 6400 printer.

This has been successful, however, when printing cheques, the CPI although
set to print at 15cpi actually seems to compress the print horizontally.
In other words, a printed line that was origiginally say 7 inches is now 6
inches.

The 6400 printer is configured as *LAN device class, device type 3812
model 1. The lan attachment is *IP and the font id is 011. The
manufacturer type is *IBM6400.

We have also tried a *IPDS configuration, but this gives no joy at all.

We have also checked the physical printer configuration, and cpi is set at
15cpi on this as well.

Can anyone help?

Thanks very much.
