We have several i5's in production at customer sites. Only issue so far was a DOA FC #0595 (clearly not the i5's problem) and one i5 that dumped a power supply while the system was powering down that caused the FSP to go vegatative. (Hmmmm, actually in an 0595 again... ) Luckily the 'P' side of the FSP code was good and recovery was quite easy. I'd vote for redundant power across the board but other than that no problems to speak of.

Seeing Rob Berendt's post about "another day in he life of an I5" prompts

Are I5's having a real problem out there in the field? I have a 520 on
order (supposed to arrive today) and will be our company's production system
in a couple/few weeks. Should I be worried more than normal in a hardware
change?

Thanks.
