Subject: Using iSeries Access remotely over a Satellite connection

Is there anyone else out there that is running the DirecWay Satellite
internet service?

I have an issue with using iSeries Access over my connection that I keep
running into. The screen stops responding after a few I/O's, especially
when I'm attempting to work with JD Edwards (sorry, Peoplesoft!). The
session just stops communicating and I have to manually disconnect and
reconnect, and then cancel the old job on the iSeries.

If I switch back to a dial-up connection, this problem goes away. I would
really like to be able to work from home without tying up the phone line
though.

Does anyone have any thoughts/comments?

Thanks
Bob Cagle
