        The Quit looked fine, you have an ECHO of the STDERR running I think
that cause the second 500 error message as it appears to be outside the
command process.

        Since I am late to the conversation, I am not sure what's on the
ends of the conversation, but when in doubt drop to a DOS box and run FTP
from there.  I would do a BINary unless you need conversion on for some
reason and you might check to see if you have a passive connection ? I find
HTML is better untranslated when FTPed to the IFS.

        Have you tried sending this to my V4R5 box ?
