That's what the ADDPFCST does, it adds a key.  I use that on output files 
created by common IBM commands.  Then I can read the output file, by a 
key, with traditional RPG I/O even.

Create a logical over the file keyed on the field(s) that you want to 
order and do a RGZPFM on the physical, specify the logical as the KEYFILE 
on the command.
That'll sort the physical.
