ILE in Default Activaction Group

This is probably a tired subject so forgive me..........
 
 I am working in a shop where it appears that most ILE programs are running in 
the Default
Activaction group.  I was at the IBM Technical conference in Las Vegas A week 
ago and attended a 
class that indicated that unpredictable results could occur if you run ILE in 
the Default
activation group.  I have also heard that performace issues can arise as well.  
Has anyone run
into problems running ILE in this manner?  Just a note we are not utilizing 
much object linking.
