Port 25 blocking is not blocked like some of you think, and like I thought at first. Port 25 out bound is blocked from leaving the cable companies network, it is not blocked at his local router.

You do not say if you are telneting from the AS400 or your PC. From my understanding Brads mailtool does not use the AS400's SMTP server any more. And if it has pretty good logs it does it say anything about relaying? Are you trying to send mail to an email address on you cable companies email server or to your other ISP's mail server? If you do a netstat (enter) option 3 does it show SMTP listening?

Did you change firewall to *yes and restart SMTP and try it again to an email address at the cables mail server?
