 I was under the mistaken impression that the calling program was throwing
the MCH3601 (since that parm was defined in both the command and the CPP),
but doing a MONMSG MCH3601 in the CPP works like a charm!

Your command processing program should be checking for NULL pointers 
being passed from the command analyzer and only returning values for 
non-NULL pointers.
