A Windows server may already have the rexecd server - it might need to be installed. The Incoming Remote Command piece of iSeries Access is a type of rexecd, but you end up with a lot of extra stuff. You can minimize it but still get too much, if all you need is the rexecd ("d" stands for "daemon", which is Greek for servant, I think -- hence, server).

Hector,

Just Google for a REXEC daemon. That's what RUNRMTCMD uses and it is a
standard TCP/IP utility. It's all you need to install.

Wait, are you running the RUNRMTCMD on the iSeries to the PC or vice
versa?
Either way REXEC is what you want to look for, either the client or a
server
(daemon)

HTH,
Charles
