Brad,

I think its a WRKLNK thing.

I have exactly the same situation where some files downloaded with HTTPAPI
onto the IFS display with line feeds correclty, and other don't, even when
downloaded at the same time.
Viewing the files in Notepad.exe always displays the line feeds OK.

Looking at the files in hex, I note that most of the line feeds are just 0A
i.e. LF but with no 0D (CR)
Sometimes there are 0D0A as normal DOS/Windows. The files downloaded are
HTML

I <think> WRKLNK tries to be clever at determining if the file to be
displayed is a Unix type (no CR) or DOS type (CRLF).... and sometimes gets
it wrong.

On the other hand I may be woofing up a strange piece of woodland.

Regards

Ian Patterson

Subject: Displaying Stream File (CRLFs?)

Just wondering if I'm forgetting something, or if this
something we just have to live with.

When viewing a stream file sometimes the CRLFs don't seem
to work all the time...

So you'll see a line, and the next line starts on the same
line as the previous line even though the CRLFs are in
there.

I'm sorta fried right now (LOL!) so maybe I'm just
forgetting something... maybe this is just the way it is.

When the file is downloaded to my PC using FTP it looks
fine with the CRLFs intact.
