I need a field on a display file to BLINK and display in RED COLOR. I have coded the keyword DSPATR(BL). But still it is not working. Can somebody tell me if someother attribute needs to be coded for BLINK to work.

DSPATR(BL) blinks only on monochrome terminals. On colour terminals DSPATR(BL) is equivalent to COLOR(RED). You need to specify Highlight and Blink to make blink work on colour terminals.

COLOR(RED) DSPATR(BL HI)

PC5250 used to ignore blink but I see recent versions handle it. PC5250 5.5 seems to handle DSPATR(BL) on its own and doesn't require HI. Perhaps you have an earlier emulator?
