We copied the commands from QPDA to QSYS and everything is working fine. The WRKQRY command we copied from QQRYLIB to QSYS.

For some reason, I thought that I heard that those commands do not reside in QSYS anymore at V5R3. Maybe someone more in the 'Know' could enlighten us on this.

That's it!! The commands are not in our QSYS library. They somehow must not have been restored from our tape when we transferred our system. Hmmmm....
