No James, I was talking about data entry also.

I am not saying that SQL is the mantra to be using.  I am saying that it
shouldn't be ruled 'out-of-hand'.  And that it's a great exercise of the
mind to see if it fits, or might even be a better fit.

Rob, Joe,

I think I'm beginning to see where you two disagree.  It's that Joe is
talking about data entry and it seems that Rob is leaning towards data
presentation?

Rob, in all honesty I can say that rarely does a data entry program not
USE some data element from the retrieved record in it's decision making
before a write is ever performed.  So for data entry purposes, single
record fetch is a must.
