We append current backup to existing tapes. Recently our Operator put in
one of these tapes that had multiple sequence numbers on it in a job that
was writing out to seq # 1 which effectively eliminated the rest of the
sequence numbers on the tape.

Is there anyone in this forum that know of a Utilitiy that will allow me
to recover the rest of the sequence numbers from the tape? I beleive they
should still be there because the operator didn't initliaze with clear
before he wrote to the tape.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,

Jim Seitsinger
