Jim,

You're trying to mix object types. It sounds like you're expecting
OVRPRTF to transform data for you automatically. Simply using the
OVRPRTF command will not place a copy of your file data to the printer
file. You have to have a program that reads you're file and prints its
contents.

Subject: OverRide PrintFile to DB file

I have an externally described print file and want to send a DB file
(basically a flat file, one field per record). When I try and just do
an
OverRide of the Print file to DB file I get "Record format not in
member"
error. As there are several formats in the print file and only one in
the
DB file. Is this something that is only possible for in program
described
print file? Seems like there should be a way to tell it to ignore
different formats and just write, but I can find it.

Thanks in advance!
