I think you will get more machine for your dollar with the i5. You will 
also position yourself further up the technology curve with an i5.  If 
you were going to do any LPAR, I would definitely want an i5 over an 810. 

Drawbacks are you need V5R3 for the i5, and cant order it till 
approximately end of June.

Also, if you have a 720 box, there is a rebate on upgrades to some 8xx 
boxes, which may discount the 810 even more.
