Well, in my just-under-10 years of AS/400 experience, exactly one IPL was
the result of an OS crash, and it happened within the first two months. At
the time, we were doing both production and development on the same D02,
and I managed to crash the system by overloading it. Fortunately, it
didn't get me fired.

(At the same time, though, I can't forget that we've had an alarming
number of hard disk crashes on our RISC boxes. But exactly none on the
aforementioned D02 that's still in service as a development box.)

At any rate, that's still a damn good record, compared to Windoze, MacOS,
Linux, and Unix.
