Subject: Passing parms of len(100) type(*char) from ILE RPG to ILE CL to
ILERPG

Hi All,

I keep getting garbage data in my character parameters when I pass them
from ILE RPG to ILE CL to ILE RPG.

It occurs when, say I have a parm of CHAR(100), but the value of the
parm is less than the full length (say, 25 chars). It seems that I've
seen this before... the first 50 chars are always clean, but I end up
with garbage (nulls, bits of other data, etc.) at the end that I cannot
seem to clean up.

What is the proper technique for passing parms for long character
strings?

TIA,

William
