Use the Change Object Description (QLICOBJD) API. You can change the source file and many other object attributes.

Here is our situation.

We have files that were created back in 1995. Some of these files are used all over our system. Since these files were created, we have changed our source file structure. So, while we still have the source, the objects point to a source file/member that no longer exist.

Now, we are installing change management software that requires the object to point to the correct source file and member.

Is there a way to update the object attributes to reflect where the source currently is, without having to recompile the object and, by definition, every program that uses these files?

Thanks.
