actually when ibm did the original greenstreak promo, many
did move, and there was "talk" of making the promo permanent,
so get the others still out there to move. Instead they raised the level
and dropped low end promos.
Some of these companies make a hardware buy every 5-7 years.
If you run a promo for 6 months, you have only touched a
small portion of the market.
