That figures. And I checked all of our spare 6607s (the sister machine to
the 510 we inherited from a customer [2 cabinets, one with a hat] that is
our production machine is a 500 we use as a parts-bank), and they're all
of the 1 9/16" variety.

Funny thing is, our trusty old D02 that's been with the company longer
than I have (and whose internal UPS died some years ago, making noises
that raised a false alarm about impending disk crashes) has NEVER lost a
drive, whereas our 40S, 170, and 510 have ALL lost drives. I guess they
don't make 'em like they used to.

I'm definitely glad we MIRROR EVERYTHING on the 40S, 170, and 510! Too bad
we can't have a parity group OF mirrored pairs. Or multi-mirroring.
