We took the easy way out, and FTP'd the .CSV to a flat 400 file (CrtPF
RcdLen(500 or so)). This was because it was originating on a PC anyway.
Then copied to QTEMP FromRcd(2) prior to CpyFrmImpF. Mebbe some part of
this would work for you. (Cumbersum process, a li'l, but just a couple/few
lines of code. Main advantage being it didn't need tested much, which is
where I "lose" THE MOST time.) Plenty of other types of solutions, of
course.

| My problem is dealing with the headings when
| transferring data from the CSV to a DB2 not designed
| to handle a record for headings. My only idea at this
| point is to use the IFS APIs in an HLL program to read
| all CSV records except the first one into a temporary
| CSV file, then perform CPYFRMIMPF on the temporary CSV
| file.
