A while a ago we bought some IBM SLR5-4GB Data Cartridges. 4 of the 5
weekdays we use these tapes to do backup on a V5R1. The other day we use an
old Imation SLR5-8GB tape.

The save operation is OK. It takes about the same amount of time to save on
all 5 days.

But when we DSPTAP or CHKTAP on these SLR5-4GB tapes we get "Volume on
device TAP01 cannot be processed" message. The old SLR5-8GB tape is fine.

The strange thing is that if I put these saved SLR5-4GB tapes on a V5R2 box
they all work! (you can DSPTAP or CHKTAP). The two machines have the same
tape drives.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Bruce
