Just say NO !!

Best answer is a separate box under your control, Maybe a small Linux or FReeBSD OS and 486 processor that sit's in your DMZ and pulls the file from the iSeries and with a Secure Shell Copy or NFS, or FTP with some Exit program protections , and then makes it available to the customer via FTP from their range. You could further secure the box with IPFW2 or IPTables on the FTP Server.
