Doesn't the REXX server need the system.APPN.SNA.IBM.COM entry pointing to
at least one of it's ip addresses in the host file?  (Where system is the
name of your system.)

This was my thought, too, but the job log shows that it was submitted with 
LOG(4 00 *SECLVL) LOGCLPGM(*YES) already. This foolish thing is up and down 
immediately.
